PNAS Article from eawag on deep aquifer vulnerability to arsenic in Vietnam PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator

AquaTRAIN ER Lenny Winkel and Lead Scientist Michael Berg have had their groundbreaking work on arsenic distribution in the Red River aquifers, northern Vietnam published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.

Although this is based on work Lenny carried out before she joined AquaTRAIN, we are very proud of this recognition and the work will be of interest to all those working on geogenic chemicals in groundwaters.

The incursion of arsenic into deeper aquifers in Vietnam has important implications for deeper-aquifer vulnerability to arsenic hazard in other parts of the worlds, including the Ganges and Mekong basins.
